Dr. McCoy and his wife are natives of Saline County. They have three lovely children and reside in Marshall Missouri. Dr. McCoy received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Central Methodist College in 1986 and Doctor of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992. Doctor McCoy was the recipient of a Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Army and completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio Texas. Dr. McCoy spent four years at Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley Kansas fulfilling his military obligation and was honorable discharged as a Major in 1996. After discharge from the Army, Dr. McCoy and his family relocated to the Blue grass state where he practiced general Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2000 until the spring of 2005 at which time he relocated to Marshall Missouri. In 2007 he and his wife established Central Missouri Women’s Healthcare. From day one it has been their goal to advance the health and well being of women in central Missouri. Dr. McCoy is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. He continues to practice general Obstetrics and Gynecology. During his time in Saline county Dr. McCoy has established himself as a regional expert in the management and treatment of pelvic support issues and female urinary incontinence. He serves as a consultant for Uroplasty, Novasys medical and Boston Scientific. Dr. McCoy and his staff are also actively involved in the advancement of women’s health through research. Currently they are participating in two nationwide multicenter randomized prospective studies involving urinary incontinence. It is the goal of Dr. McCoy and his staff to continue to bring new and cutting edge technology to the women of central Missouri. |
